Please note: The above Hangul (Korean alphabet) was written by yours truly, with little assistance from the internet. Since coming to Korea I've sought to learn how to read Hangul.
The airline in the picture to the right, the great Korean Air, happens to be my new favorite airline :) The wonderful staff, actual food and beverage (ahem domestic US flights), and movies and sleeping kits swayed my airline infatuation from a mediocre domestic airline to Korean Air, a company that truly epitomizes air travel!
I left Chicago at 1 p.m. and boarded the beautiful blue bird you see there (Boeing 747-400!) We were scheduled to fly for 16 hours, which at the time seemed like a daunting number (2/3 a day on a plane!), and land at 4 p.m. the next day. Surprisingly, the flight went smoothly, and quite quickly! After 2 nice meals, some drinks (water, juice, Korean beer and wine), 4 movies, and some relaxation, we arrived in Incheon International Airport! Check out an in-flight picture from over Alaska!
Upon arrival in Incheon I processed my bags quickly. I found the Seoul Women's University welcoming committee, and followed him to the bus. I got some Won (conveniently from an ATM using my debit card, dad :p) and loaded the bus. It's hard to believe that in 24 hours one can wake up in Tennessee and end up over 6500 miles away in South Korea! More to come later, including week 1 activities! 벤 - Ben (in Korean of course)

Yes, Ben, the world is your playground! We had no worries that you would enjoy the many hours on the long flight and that you would quickly acclimate to living in a new country!
