Sorry for the delay in posting. I thought I posted earlier covering time in Korea, but i realize I didn't! So here goes! Upon arrival to the airport we rounded up our group and headed to the university. It took an hour to get there, but I slept for a little (28 straight hours up, but somehow only 3 hours later in the day then when I left from St. Louis? Funny that international date line!) So we arrived to the dorms and took all our stuff to our rooms. The first picture is of our dormitory. 10 floors tall, suites for men and women, conference room and cafeteria. Pretty much everything we need to function and live!
We live in a suite style living arrangement, with 4 rooms with 4 people (during the year) totaling 16 people. 2 bathrooms and 4 showers and a little living area makes for a nice little situation.
That evening we had Domino's pizza - a great American classic right? Almost. In Korea the pizza is a little different. Tomato sauce isn't present, but more a mayonnaise style dressing with corn. And potatos. Koreans LOVE potatos in their pizza! It's rather interesting, instead of sausage or something like that they have potatos. Kind of nifty :) Also, instead of jalapeños or something like that they have dill pickle slices.
That evening I met a lot of cool people, including foreign students from New Zealand, Russia, and Canada, and of course some Korean girls. I settled in that night and went to bed at about 11. Little did I know I'd be waking up at 6 a.m. the next morning - not because I had to, but rather because my biological clock was a little "jet lagged!"
Keep the comments coming! <3벤차민
